founded as Scott Montgomery Graphic Design in 1982, in Bellingham, Washington.

Over the years, the diversity of projects allowed a wide variety of professional relationships to grow and mature. Today, this allows SM&A to effectively match production resources to specific projects, allowing Scott to focus on the issues
of design and illustration.

Scott’s professional career began as an illustrator for science textbooks at age 17, and evolved into graphic design in the mid 70’s.
His work has won numerous national and international awards, and has been featured in various magazines, trade journals and books on design.
He was a featured speaker
for the International Festivals & Events Association, on his award-winning graphic identity for the "Ski to Sea" Festival in Bellingham, Washington.

Scott makes his home in
Bellingham, with his loving and patient wife Juli, who besides being an artist herself, cares for an unending parade of dogs, cats, birds and who or whatever else wanders within her sights.
